SENATOR VAN TAYLOR VISITS DURHAM SCHOOL SERVICES TO SEE SAFETY IN ACTION

McKinney, TX– Durham School Services, a leading provider in student transportation, proudly received a visit from Van Taylor, State Senator, on Wednesday, February 24.

In celebration of Love the Bus month, State Senator Van Taylor toured the Durham facility in McKinney. Throughout the tour, Senator Taylor saw firsthand the efforts of Durham’s team to fulfill their mission of getting students to school safely, on time and ready to learn.

“Our team is dedicated to safely serving the students of McKinney every school day,” said Pete Chancellor, general manager for Durham. “We’re proud to receive a visit from Senator Taylor; in sharing our safety mindedness with him, he gained an appreciation for the dedication of our team.”

“This tour provided me with a greater insight as to how Durham works to ensure the safety of our students in McKinney,” said Senator Taylor. “It is clear they are passionate about their mission and I want to thank all 243 employees for their efforts to provide safe and reliable transportation to the students of McKinney.”

Love the Bus campaign was started by American School Bus Councilto raise awareness and appreciation for the hundreds of thousands of school bus drivers who safely transport children to and from school. The campaign is celebrated throughout the month of February.
